Outcasts of Velrune
Outcasts of Velrune is a young adult book series that mixes fantasy and science fiction. The series is influenced by Japanese anime and role playing console games and as such contains character types often seen in those media. The three current books revolves around two races, humans and lacarnians. Lacarnians are cat-folk whose features range from full body fur, claws, tails and ears to those who appear mostly human.
There are three books in the series that complete the tale of two teenagers, Maxwell, a human, and Evangeline, a lacarnian, as they struggle to remain friends in a world where the two races seldom get along. The current series also tells the origins of both races.
